Department of international and external relations is a functional unit of North Caucasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (State Technological University), which coordinates all international activities of the university:
- implementation of projects and programs of academic cooperation with foreign partner universities in the network form, international institutions and foundations;
- international mobility programs for students and teachers;
- arrangements for for the export of educational services, training of foreign citizens;
- implementation of additional programs in Russian as a foreign language.
Department of international and external relations activities are determined by the main directions of international cooperation, Strategic Development Program 2030 statements and department regulations.
One of Department’s functional units is a Social center for foreign citizens integration and a Linguistic center. The Department’s activities are carried out in close relationship with the faculties of the University.
